The salted butter and caramel galette des rois
We headed for Riec-sur-Bélon, where we met Delphine Gestin, who has a passion for cooking.
"Sugar, cream, butter and no preservatives!"
Originally from Morbihan, Delphine worked in a biscuit factory there. In her spare time, she never took her apron off, preparing her own cakes.
Her passion for cooking led her to set up her own business... So she launched Du Sukr et du Beurre to delight your taste buds!
« I offer you my range of homemade salted butter caramel, made at home in Riec-sur-Bélon. »
— Delphine Gestin
Her aim is to offer her caramels in a range of flavours. Today, she offers plain salted butter caramel, praline caramel and chocolate caramel. In winter, she also produces salted butter caramel in Christmas flavours, and a new flavour should be arriving soon! The key is to offer quality products that she likes and that reflect her personality.
A little anecdote: this story begins in the kitchen of a young woman with a sweet tooth... Delphine found herself making homemade salted butter caramel for her recipes, and found it so good that she wanted to share it with others!
"A galette des rois with salted butter caramel, which gives it a praline flavour."
Here is Delphine's recipe for the crème frangipane:
- 50 gr soft butter
- 50 gr hazelnut powder
- 1 egg
- 160 gr plain salted butter caramel Du Sukr et du Beurre
