The Ellé, a 1st category river
A river classified as 1st category is mainly populated by salmonids (salmon, trout). This classification is accompanied by fishing rules that all freshwater anglers should be aware of. Like its neighbours, the Isole and the Scorff, the Ellé is a very popular river for trout, pike and salmon fishing.
Anglers can enjoy the exceptional natural setting while catching fish. The rivers of Destination Quimperlé les rias are renowned for their clear water and shallow depths, making them ideal for fly fishing. Whether you're just starting out or are a beginner, the Ellé and the Isole are sure to produce some great catches.
Fishing is permitted from 2e Saturday in March to 3e Sunday in September, ½ hour before sunrise and until ½ hour after sunset.
