And if you want to avoid the waves, head to the rias for calmer waters protected from sea spray and currents.
For a family activity, grab your landing nets and buckets and go fishing for crabs, prawns and small shellfish. You don't need to be an expert to get started, just turn over the stones and observe what happens (remembering to put them back in their place afterwards!). For the more expert, the harvest is an opportunity to taste it over an aperitif!
