The town of Quimperlé for an evening stroll

The Chemin Bleu is a pretty loop in the heart of Quimperlé, the ‘city of three rivers’, where the Ellé and Isole rivers meet. It offers Quimperlé residents and visitors the chance to wander around and discover the town's heritage from a different angle.

This artistic trail of light is punctuated by the shadows of passers-by from dusk to dawn, injecting a contemporary dynamism into the heart of the historic town... So when you visit Quimperlé, let the blue lights guide you on an evening stroll from the banks of the Isole to the banks of the Ellé.

A heritage showcased by visual artist Yann Kersalé

After flooding in 2013 and 2014, the town of Quimperlé called on Yann Kersalé in 2016 to highlight the redevelopment of the banks of the Isole, and then in 2019 to extend the route to the banks of the Ellé.

Since then, blue LED lights have punctuated the walk around the island of Quimperlé, offering new sensations when discovering the natural and built heritage at night.

In this way, Yann Kersalé has created a new narrative for the contemporary city... More than just functional lighting, the aim is to create a permanent wandering experience that will encourage Quimperlois and visiting tourists to enjoy discovering or rediscovering the city.
