Following the storm Ciaran which hit on 1 and 2 November, many of the paths in Destination Quimperlé les rias have not yet been cleared. Every week, the Tourist Office compiles information on which paths are open to the public and which are not. For this information, please contact us on 02 98 39 67 28 or visit our information offices.
Undulating trail routes
You don't need mountains for trail running! Distances don't necessarily count for trail running; it's the variation in soil and terrain that makes for good routes. It's not just about running either, as the route sometimes requires you to alternate with walking, depending on the gradient or type of terrain.
For training, while the coastal paths are all the rage, there are many other equally pleasant routes to discover inland, particularly along the River Ellé. Sheltered from the sea spray and away from the hustle and bustle of the coastline, its undulating course offers a playground perfectly suited to trail running, with gradients ranging from the most pleasant to the most technical!
